Our Neo Mamlouk rugs are a reinterpretation of that classic pattern. The classic Mamlouk design is made up of numerous different geometric shapes and geometricised floral motifs that give the rug a kaleidoscopic effect.\n\u003cbr\/\u003e\u003cbr\/\u003e\nWe have reworked the traditional pattern templates, pared the design back and, above all, rearranged the colours entirely. The result is a fusion of traditional Oriental rug design and modern European aesthetics. Viscose (also spelled viscose rayon, acetate silk or rayon) is always obtained from cellulose, a natural product, and therefore from the raw material wood. In India the cellulose pulp is obtained from bamboo. In an elaborate process the pulpy cellulose is drawn into one continuous textile yarn. This is why viscose is also known as continuous filament yarn. Because of the silky sheen of the yarn, viscose obtained from bamboo is also called \"bamboo silk\".
