Origin and design

Heriz (also spelled Heris) is an important center for hand-knotted carpets. Located in western Iran on the border with Azerbaijan, Heriz carpets are renowned for their beautiful geometric designs. A hallmark of Heriz carpets is their lustrous wool with fantastic color variations.
