200 × 150 cm at a glance
- For bedrooms, two-seater seating groups and smaller living rooms
- Laid crosswise in front of the bed, it covers the width of a double bed
- Too small for a dining table in any arrangement
- Hand-knotted one-of-a-kind pieces; the dimensions vary by a few centimetres
Where this size really works
Laid crosswise in front of a double bed, 200 × 150 cm extends past both sides of the bed — in the morning you step onto wool on either side instead of a cold floor. Placed under the bed, by contrast, this size almost disappears; for that you need 300 × 200 cm. In the living room it carries a two-seater with its front legs on the rug, plus a coffee table.
What to look for when buying
The most common mistake with this size is a sofa that is too large. As a rule of thumb, the rug should be at least as wide as the seating group, and better still 20 cm wider on each side. With a three-seater of 200 cm or more, 200 × 150 cm cannot manage that. In the bedroom, on the other hand, a softer, deeper pile is very welcome — you walk there barefoot, not in shoes.

Common questions
Only if the rug is meant to lie crosswise in front of it. For a rug that shows out from under the bed, it is too small. There the right size starts at 300 × 200 cm.
Visually it then looks narrow. From a sofa of about 200 cm wide we recommend 240 × 170 cm.
Because every piece is knotted by hand. That is why the product title always states the size as actually measured, not the nominal size.
