Rugs from Qom

Qom is a relatively young provenance for Persian rugs. The city of Qom (also Gom, Ghoum, Goum) lies in central Iran, about 100 km south of the capital Tehran. As Qom had no old knotting tradition to build on, patterns were – and still are – adopted from other weaving regions and rendered as the finest silk work. Over time, though, a style of its own has grown from this, and they are known as the Rugs from Qom, which you can browse right now!
