rugs from Nain
Nain is one of the most famous carpet provenances (origin, origin) in Iran. The city of Nain lies northwest of Isfahan and has an old weaving tradition. Before the Khadjar dynasty (1794 - 1925), the highest-quality throws for noblemen - so-called abas - were made here. Under the influence of western culture, the traditional coverlet as clothing was displaced by the suit. The weavers shifted their business and began to knot rugs.
