Origin

The pattern of this Oriental rug is inspired by classic Persian rug designs. This rug was knotted in Turkey.

This old Turkish Oriental rug is around 66 years old and a real collector's piece.

Material

The pile of this Old Turkish Oriental rug was made from cotton. The cotton plant is grown in most rug-producing countries and is therefore very popular for rug making.

The weft threads of this Old Turkish Oriental rug are made of wool. Cotton was used for the warp threads.

Condition

This Old Turkish Oriental rug has had admirers before you. It was knotted around 66. It has been cleaned thoroughly and is in good but unrestored condition. The fringes could do with a repair. We have not restored this Old Turkish Oriental rug, because we feel it has a special charm just as it is. If you would like us to, we will of course gladly restore the rug for you. Either way, this Old Turkish Oriental rug will bring you joy for decades to come.

The colours of this rug change depending on which side you look at it from. It all depends on whether the light falls with the nap of the pile or against it. That is why we have photographed the rug from several angles.
