Condition

This antique textile fragment has had admirers before you. It was hand-woven around 1880 and has given faithful service ever since. A few holes and tears are obvious signs of damage to this fine, charming cloth. All in all, though, it is in good condition and can give pleasure for decades to come. We have not restored this antique textile fragment because we feel it has a special charm just as it is. If you would prefer otherwise, we are of course happy to restore the rug for you.

The colours of this rug change depending on which side you look at it from. It all depends on whether the light falls with the nap of the pile or against it. That is why we have photographed the rug from several angles.
