Origin and design

Baluch is a carpet origin located between Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan. Baluch carpets (also spelled Baluch, Beloutch, Beluch, Baluch, Balouch, Baloutche, or Balúchi) are made by semi-nomadic or nomadic peoples. Originally, Baluch carpets were woven exclusively by the Baluch nomads. Today, however, some other tribes also weave Baluch carpets. The patterns tend to be geometric, and the color palette is predominantly red and brown. Most carpets are runners and smaller rugs, as these are also used by the nomads themselves and are easier to transport.
