Origin

In designing this hand-tufted rug, what mattered most to us was simplicity and a focus on the essentials. The result is a modern, clean-lined design that sits beautifully in contemporary interiors. Despite its cool, pared-back look, this rug makes any room feel more homely and welcoming.

Pattern

The abstract, geometric composition is what gives this hand-tufted modern designer rug its understated elegance. The pattern flatters the design of the room without stealing attention from the furniture, the decoration and the architectural details. It settles beautifully into any setting and complements a room's furnishings in a subtle way.

The chequered pattern wins you over with its contrasts and yet stays restrained. Anyone who loves symmetry and structure will take to this rug.

The background of this hand-tufted modern designer rug is dark blue.

Condition

You aren't the first to take a liking to this hand-tufted modern designer rug. It has had owners before you who valued and used it. It was hand-tufted around 2015. We have cleaned it thoroughly and restored it with care. That is why, despite its age, it is in very good condition.

Material

The pile of this hand-tufted modern designer rug is made from a hard-wearing blend of wool and viscose. Viscose – also known as acetate silk or rayon – is always obtained from cellulose, a natural material, and therefore from the raw material wood. In India the cellulose pulp is obtained from bamboo. In an elaborate process, the pulpy cellulose is drawn out into one continuous textile yarn. This is why viscose is also called continuous filament yarn. Because of the silky sheen of the yarn, viscose obtained from bamboo is also known as "Bamboo Silk". The colloquial term "artificial silk" is not permitted under the German Textile Labelling Act (TKG).
