Origin
In designing this hand-tufted rug, what mattered most to us was simplicity and a focus on the essentials. The result is a modern, clean-lined design that sits beautifully in contemporary interiors. Despite its cool, pared-back look, this rug makes any room feel more homely and welcoming.
Material
The pile of this Hand-Tufted Modern Designer Rug is made of hard-wearing viscose. The colloquial term "artificial silk" is not permitted under the German Textile Labelling Act (TKG). Viscose (also known as viscose silk, acetate silk or rayon) is generally obtained from cellulose, a natural product, and thus from the raw material wood. In India, however, the cellulose pulp is also obtained from bamboo. In an elaborate process, the pulpy cellulose is drawn into one continuous textile yarn. This is why viscose is also referred to as continuous filament yarn. Because of the silky sheen of the yarn, viscose obtained from bamboo is also called "Bamboo Silk".
Condition
This Hand-Tufted Modern Designer Rug already had admirers before you. It was knotted around 11. It has been cleaned thoroughly and is in good, though only partially restored, condition. There are, unfortunately, a few stains. We have not fully restored this Hand-Tufted Modern Designer Rug, because we feel it has a special presence just as it is. If that is what you would like, we will of course carry on restoring the rug for you. We can bring almost any rug back to near-perfect condition.
