Kazak
This rug in beige exists only once in this form: it brings together traditional craftsmanship and timeless elegance. With a knot density of roughly 160k-200k knots per m², the painstaking workmanship shows above all in the precise drawing of the pattern and the fine execution of the details. At 210 × 147 cm it works well as a living room rug. It cuts just as fine a figure in an office. Colouring and texture give the room a homely atmosphere – with a character no other rug shares.

Origin
Kazak (also spelled Kasak) rugs belong to the group of Caucasian rugs. Rugs have been made in the Caucasus since the end of the 18th century. Characteristic are the abstract, geometric tribal patterns in primary colours. Typically the geometric – and more rarely floral – motifs are rendered in intense, high-contrast colours. In the 19th century, a considerable share of these rugs, produced mainly in villages, was exported to the West under Russian control.

Child labour? No thanks.
Child labour? No thanks. Children belong in school, not at a knotting frame or a loom. For us it therefore goes without saying that we only offer rugs made under fair conditions and without child labour.
We attach particular importance to humane working conditions and tolerate no child labour at any of our producers. Thank you for helping us to ensure fair conditions.
That is why we support the initiative Care & Fair against child labour in the rug trade.
