This Kilim Hoch2 from Persia is a genuine one-off piece. Measuring 251 × 175 cm, this unique piece is an ideal living-room rug and a versatile choice for a lounge or dining area. More than just a hard-wearing wool rug, its natural material and individual construction give this unique piece a character of its own. Its yellow, orange Curry, orange Terracotta colouring defines the appearance of the exact piece shown in the product images. Origin and design

Kilims (also spelled Kilim, Qilim) were traditionally made only for personal use. Nomads and farmers used, and still use, their flat-woven kilims as carpets on the floor, but also as tent or wall hangings, blankets, cushions, or bags. With our new kilims, we have further developed the traditional Iranian weaving technique to produce significantly denser and thicker kilims. We call this new generation of kilims Kelim Hoch2.

For our Kelim Hoch2, we wrap naturally dyed virgin wool around thick strands of coarsely spun virgin wool, creating sturdy panels with an exceptional texture. We then sew these panels, featuring various colors and patterns, together with large stitches to achieve the desired width. The result is contemporary, highly durable kilims with simple patterns and harmonious color tones.
