Every one of our kilim cushions is a one-of-a-kind piece. Some of our cushions do have a brother or sister, though, because we made several cushions from a single Kelim.
The front of the cushion covers is made from fragments of hand-woven Turkish vintage Kelims from the 50s to the 70s.
The Kelims were hand-woven from pure new wool and some were decorated with simple embroidery once the weaving was done. The new wool was dyed with plant dyes before weaving. The luminous, natural shades and simple, geometric patterns of vintage Kelims are loved all over the world. You can see why for yourself.
We select the Kelims with care and clean them – and gently restore them where needed – before they are made into cushions.
The back is 100 % cotton and has a zip. The fabric and the colour of the back vary. The colour of the back may differ from the photo and is only an example.
The insert is not included. Our kilim cushions are pack animals, so there is no way we can send them out on their own ;-) You'll need to take in at least two.
A note on the photos
