This one-of-a-kind piece, with its multicoloured design, unites traditional craftsmanship with timeless elegance. At around 90,000 knots per m², the workmanship is correspondingly painstaking, as you can see in the precise drawing of the pattern and the finely worked details. Its 301 × 200 cm make it a large living room rug. It also cuts a fine figure in the dining room beneath a table for six to eight people. The harmonious colouring and the characteristic texture lend any room an exclusive, homely atmosphere. A rug of this quality is far more than a piece of furnishing – it is a piece of traditional textile art with individual character and lasting value.

Origin

This hand-knotted modern designer rug is a real eye-catcher and lifts any modern interior. Despite its contemporary design, it makes every room feel more homely and welcoming.

Material

The pile of this Mood is made of hard-wearing viscose. The colloquial term "artificial silk" is not permitted under the German Textile Labelling Act (TKG). Viscose (also called acetate silk or rayon) is generally obtained from cellulose, a natural product, and thus from wood as its raw material. In India, however, the cellulose pulp is also obtained from bamboo. In an elaborate process the pulpy cellulose is drawn into a continuous textile yarn. This is why viscose is also known as continuous filament yarn. Because of the silky sheen of the yarn, viscose made from bamboo is also called "Bamboo Silk".

The weft and warp threads of this Mood are made of cotton. This versatile material is tear-resistant and elastic, which makes it especially suited to a hard-wearing foundation.

Condition

You are not the first to take a liking to this Mood. It has had owners before you who treasured and used it. It was knotted in around 2015. We have cleaned it thoroughly and restored it with care. As a result it is – despite its age – in very good condition.

A note on the photos

The colours of this rug change depending on which side you look at it from. It all depends on whether the light falls with the nap of the pile or against it. That is why we have photographed the rug from several angles.
