This rug with its multicoloured design exists in this form only once: it combines traditional craftsmanship with timeless elegance. With a knot density of around 160,000 knots per m², the intricate workmanship shows above all in the precise pattern drawing and the fine detailing. At 67 × 65 cm, it works beautifully as a small accent rug. It also cuts a fine figure as a seating rug or wall hanging. This hand-knotted modern designer rug is a real eye-catcher and lifts any modern interior. Despite its contemporary design, it makes every room feel more homely and welcoming.

Material

The pile of this Mood is made of hard-wearing viscose. The colloquial term "artificial silk" is not permitted under the German Textile Labelling Act (TKG). Viscose (also called acetate silk or rayon) is generally obtained from cellulose, a natural product, and thus from wood as its raw material. In India, however, the cellulose pulp is also obtained from bamboo. In an elaborate process the pulpy cellulose is drawn into a continuous textile yarn. This is why viscose is also known as continuous filament yarn. Because of the silky sheen of the yarn, viscose made from bamboo is also called "Bamboo Silk".

The weft and warp threads of this Mood are made of cotton. This versatile material is tear-resistant and elastic, which makes it especially suited to a hard-wearing foundation.

A note on the photos

The colours of this rug change depending on which side you look at it from. It all depends on whether the light falls with the nap of the pile or against it. That is why we have photographed the rug from several angles.
