Origin

The inspiration for this hand-knotted designer rug came from reflections on the surface of water. Other associations are of course allowed and welcome. The result is a modern design that sits beautifully in contemporary interiors. The partly kaleidoscopic patterns make this rug a real eye-catcher that makes any room feel more homely and inviting.

Material

The material for the pile of this Reflections was obtained from the bast of the hemp plant, the tissue just beneath the bark. The hemp makes this rug particularly robust and hard-wearing. Hemp fibres feel coarse to the touch and are up to three times more durable than cotton. Compared with cotton, however, the hemp plant is more environmentally friendly to grow and is steadily gaining in popularity. The plant needs no pesticides and is considered very long-lasting and kind to the environment. Thanks to this natural compatibility and its robust qualities, hemp rugs are also becoming increasingly popular for heavily used living areas.

A note on the photos

The colours of this rug change depending on which side you look at it from. It all depends on whether the light falls with the nap of the pile or against it. That is why we have photographed the rug from several angles.
