This rug in beige and turquoise combines traditional craftsmanship with timeless elegance. With a knot density of approx. 60,000 knots per m², the painstaking workmanship shows above all in the precise drawing of the design and the fine execution of the details. At 312 × 239 cm, it is well suited as a large living room rug. It also looks at home in an open-plan living and dining area. This one-of-a-kind piece brings individual character to the room and keeps its value far beyond short-lived trends.

Origin
When designing this hand-knotted rug, what mattered most to us was simplicity and a focus on the essentials. The result is a modern, straight-lined design that sits beautifully in contemporary interiors. Despite its cool, understated look, this rug makes any room feel homelier and more welcoming.
Material
The pile of this Straight was hand-knotted from high-quality new wool. New wool is obtained by gently shearing sheep. The pattern was worked in pure silk, so that the colours of this Straight's pattern shine in different facets – depending on how the light falls. New wool is a renewable, natural raw material with a number of impressive properties: thanks to the natural lanolin content of the wool, the surface repels droplets of water and is thus naturally protected against dirt. Wool also offers excellent thermal insulation, helps regulate the indoor climate and dampens sound. Silk is obtained by hand from the cocoons of the silkworm. Because the individual silk filaments are extremely long, very fine yarns can be made that are still tear-resistant despite their light weight. The fine yarn allows smaller rug knots to be tied and therefore finer patterns to be created. This is why the finest rugs in the world are hand-knotted from pure silk. The weft and warp threads of this Straight are made of cotton. This versatile material is tear-resistant and has some give, which makes it particularly well suited to a hard-wearing foundation.

Child labour? No thanks.
Child labour? No thanks. Children belong in school, not at a knotting frame or a loom. For us it therefore goes without saying that we only offer rugs made under fair conditions and without child labour.
We attach particular importance to humane working conditions and tolerate no child labour at any of our producers. Thank you for helping us to ensure fair conditions.
That is why we support the initiative Care & Fair against child labour in the rug trade.
