Origin

When designing this hand-knotted rug, what mattered most to us was simplicity and a focus on the essentials. The result is a modern, straight-lined design that sits beautifully in contemporary interiors. Despite its cool, understated look, this rug makes any room feel homelier and more welcoming.

Pattern

The pile is a solid dark green. The understated design keeps a low profile, yet it can also set a wonderful accent in a room. The monochrome look of this rug blends beautifully into any setting.

Material

The pile of this Straight is made of hard-wearing viscose. The colloquial term "artificial silk" is not permitted under the German Textile Labelling Act (TKG). Viscose – also written viscose, acetate silk or rayon – is generally obtained from the natural product cellulose, and therefore from the raw material wood. In India, however, the cellulose pulp is also obtained from bamboo. In an elaborate process, the pulpy cellulose is drawn into one continuous textile yarn. This is why viscose is also called a continuous filament yarn. Because of the silky sheen of the yarn, viscose obtained from bamboo is also known as "Bamboo Silk". The weft and warp threads of this Straight are made of cotton. This versatile material is tear-resistant and elastic, which makes it particularly suitable for a hard-wearing foundation.
