Origin

Nain is one of the best-known carpet provenances. Origin of Iran. The city of Nain lies northwest of Isfahan and has an ancient weaving tradition. Before the Khadjar dynasty from 1794 to 1925, the highest quality throws for nobles, so-called abas, were made here. The rugs from Nain owe their distinctive patterns and color combinations in particular to the master Hadj Fatollah Habibian Naiini.
