Reflection
Every rug is a one-of-a-kind piece – this example of the Reflection type exists exactly once. At 362 × 272 cm it works as a large living room rug for generous living and dining areas. As a wool and silk rug, this one-of-a-kind piece combines hard-wearing natural fibres with a particularly fine appearance. The knot density is stated as 160000. Under number 15-63160 we offer exactly the rug shown in the photographs.

Origin
The inspiration for this hand-knotted designer rug came from reflections on the surface of water. Other associations are of course allowed and welcome. The result is a modern design that sits beautifully in contemporary interiors. The partly kaleidoscopic patterns make this rug a real eye-catcher that makes any room feel more homely and inviting.
Material
The pile of this Reflection was hand-knotted from high-quality new wool. New wool is obtained by gently shearing sheep. The pattern has been worked in pure silk, so the colours of this Reflection's pattern shine in different shades depending on how the light falls. New wool is a renewable, natural raw material with a number of impressive qualities: thanks to the natural lanolin content of the wool, the surface repels droplets of water and is therefore naturally proofed against dirt. Wool also offers excellent thermal insulation, has a regulating effect on the indoor climate and dampens sound. Silk is obtained by hand from the cocoons of the silkworm. Because the individual silk filaments are extremely long, very fine yarns can be produced that remain tear-resistant despite their low weight. This fine yarn makes it possible to tie smaller rug knots and thus to create finer patterns. That is why the finest rugs in the world are hand-knotted from pure silk.
A note on the photos
Child labour? No thanks.
Child labour? No thanks. Children belong in school, not at a knotting frame or a loom. For us it therefore goes without saying that we only offer rugs made under fair conditions and without child labour.
We attach particular importance to humane working conditions and tolerate no child labour at any of our producers. Thank you for helping us to ensure fair conditions.
That is why we support the initiative Care & Fair against child labour in the rug trade.
